By Gloria Mans Aries 20th March – 20th April The adage ‘look before you leap' applies now, acting on impulse holds danger. Scorpio's full moon in April highlighted shared resources bringing closure to issues that have been of deep concern. You still need to hold your horses, clip clop instead of gallop, it's not important who's first past the winning post, it's how the race was won that matters. Taurus 20th April – 21st May Your birthday month brings eclipses in Taurus and Sagittarius and tensions arise. Being a possessive sign you'll find someone's wandering eye will give rise to suspicion and feelings will run deep. There's a learning curve here – jealousy always finds more than it's looking for so bear in mind that a wandering eye is vastly inferior to a wandering heart! Gemini 21st May – 21st June Venus in Gemini for most of May and June gives you the opportunity to flit among the flowers and buzz among the bees. It's the best planetary position for 'love energy'. Get the spray tan or the eyelash extensions if that's what does it but nothing shines more than personality and yours will have more impact than any glamour product! Cancer 21st June – 23rd July Crabs and crabettes have great survival instincts – but the 12th zone of your solar chart shows you're secretly yearning for more in life. Wishful thinking? We all dream, but when dreaming overwhelms us it's time for a reality check. The future is a mirror without any glass so be careful what you wish for, Neptune's position this June can be a trickster! Leo 23rd July – 23rd August Oh Leo! Your childlike heart is injured by reactions to your excesses in life so you roar and strut and put on a noble air whilst deeply hurt. You're certainly taking a battering as Saturn journeys through Scorpio, however, don't be discouraged (as if you would), it's a trial not a defeat and your strength of purpose will see you through with crown intact! Virgo 23rd August – 23rd September Being the sign associated with harvest it's true to say you reap what you sow but dealing with seeds past their sell by date isn't allowing you to sow well. It's like last year's weather – challenging! The outer planet Neptune in Pisces suggests letting ideas prove their worth before making a commitment then nobody can be accused of confusing the issue. Libra 23rd September – 22nd October The language of flowers is extensive but one in particular applies in June, it's the pink rose, symbolising being too shy to show feelings. Help is at hand to prepare for a declaration. Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Gemini in May give the power to speak out so write the script of what your heart is saying, it needs hearing! Scorpio 23rd October – 22nd November Miners dig deep to find gold, oil, emeralds, riches for sure, which won't be your lifescript. However you've other riches to dig for such as endurance, courage and willpower. These will see you through a very tricky patch. They won't buy the house of your dreams but they'll buy you time and that's a precious commodity for you now. Sagittarius 22nd November – 21st December The eclipse on May 25th highlights the Archer, one of your sign archetypes, the message here is 'aim true!' It doesn't have to be high or even 100 per cent accurate because your target is wide, so as long as you are sincere of heart, your inner archer will perform well. Wisdom is your arrow head and knowledge your quiver! Capricorn 21st December – 20th January All signs in astrology have an element and yours is earth which is why your practical and dependable nature is as solid as the ground beneath your feet. No wonder there's a lot being asked of you now, so rather than thinking people are taking advantage, celebrate the qualities they've come to admire about you and put your shoulder to the task! Aquarius 20th January – 19th February 'This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius' goes the song so keeping that in mind, make this early summer a season to remember. With the new moon in your compatible sign of Gemini on 8th June do what you do best, look to the future, invent a new phase exploiting your talents and shout 'look world here I am'. Pisces 19th February – 20th March I'm going to tell you something that'll resonate with your great sense of imagination. In Ireland one is advised not to walk along a fairy path on May 1st because the little people are conducting celebrations. What does this say to you? Don't tread the same path trodden before, it's getting you nowhere. Seek a new route to change your life.

Summer stars

Aries 20th March - 20th April. With Uranus, which represents revolution and often chaos, settling into your sign, you'll be used to the unexpected knocking on your door. Surprise is often the best strategy for attack so stay ahead of the game. You're an excellent soldier of fortune, just keep moving forward to successfully out-manoeuvre the odds and end up with the spoils of victory.

Taurus 20th April - 21st May. Venus is now in the part of your solar chart where security is comforting or threatened. The former is highlighted so no need to worry about losing your footing. You're slow to declare feelings but need to throw caution to the wind and trust in the Goddess of Love! She does, after all, have a habit of ruling your life!

Gemini 21st May - 21st June. Opportunities are likes buses, some come all at once but the wait in between can be tedious. Celebrate your birthday big time this year because Jupiter, joining your solar star from June 12th, means you've chance after chance falling from the heavens into your lap. Capitalise on this and expand your horizons, the world's shrinking but you're on a roll.

Cancer 21st June - 23rd July. If all life stemmed from the sea, you were first to scuttle on to dry land. An enormous relief from all that water but then you go and hide yourself under a rock! Come out and show your creative skills; cooking, recognising antiques from reproductions and spotting the genuine from the fake. It applies to people as well as inanimate objects!

Leo 23rd July - 23rd August. Mars in Libra signals a time to balance the accounts. It energises the 2nd house of your solar chart where money and possessions juggle for position in order of desire or necessity. Libra represents relationships so your relationship with personal resources is heightened throughout July and August. The law of averages isn't working at present, it's either up or down.

Virgo 23rd August - 23rd September. Meticulous moi? Yes you are and often accused of being fussy but the upside is if you're asked to do something you do it to a very high standard and that's always in demand. The pressure's been on lately but will ease off in July giving you respite and enabling you to view a job nobody could have done better.

Libra 23rd September - 22nd October. Pity Libra doesn't rule the planet then world peace wouldn't be a problem! You're such a co-operative individual always seeing both sides and trying to accommodate everybody but a challenge between Uranus and Pluto in July, symbolising sweeping changes everywhere, will test even you. Upshot is, being part of a collective problem means you're not responsible for it, test passed!

Scorpio 23rd October - 22nd November. A lovely lunation in Pisces in August will stir those still waters that run deep! Nobody realises how emotional you are because you hide your feelings well but you've longings like everyone else. Stirred but not shaken best describes affairs of the heart, you may get what you wish for, so wish with care, a Pisces moon can be deceptive.

Sagittarius 22nd November - 21st December. Christopher Isherwoood said he was a camera with the shutter open. This describes you, looking for opportunities to expand your repetoire. There's rumour in the stars that you're moving on from something. A lunar eclipse in your own sign on 4th June brings closure to one episode but opens another, just like the shutter, it's an open and shut case!

Capricorn - 21st December - 20th January. Your solar chart emphasises close relationships in July through a Full Moon in Capricorn and a New Moon in Cancer. This gives a chance to release those feelings you keep locked away. You can be shy, finding sentiment hard to express, but if you open your heart you'll find it soon fills up with the love you sometimes keep out.

Aquarius 20th January - 19th February. You join Pisces, Virgo and Leo in August when a phenomena called a 'blue moon', when two full moons appear in the same month, create cause and effect for your signs. A rare occurrence this, hence the saying 'once in a blue moon'. For you particularly, feelings need to be aired but carefully, it won't be cool to act cool.

Pisces 19th February - 20th March. There is such a thing as Universal Law which in Eastern philosophy is described as karma so with Jupiter moving through Gemini in your 3rd solar house watch what you say otherwise you'll have cause for regret. Chinese whispers abound so don't listen to them and certainly don't repeat them. Three wise monkeys - see nothing; hear nothing; say nothing!

The best way out of a situation is to always go through it, look at both sides and hopefully find a compromise.

Going over old ground has reversed progress and you need to move on. You’re faced with the winds of change which could easily blow you off course, so be prepared to be lifted from the fence on which you sit and hit the ground running. The advantage here is to outpace the opposing forces then take a pit stop to re-balance, refresh and renew.
